Designed for students in Grades 11 and 12, our Certificate IV in Musical Theatre is ideal for senior school students looking to build upon their Certificate III studies and prepare for a diverse and successful career in the performing arts. Held one full day per week throughout the Queensland school term timetable, students enrolled in our Certificate IV will engage in a wide range of theoretical and practical lessons delivered by leading industry professionals.

At Dynamite Studios Australia, part-time Musical Theatre students develop skills across singing, acting, and dance, with dedicated classes in vocal technique, acting for stage and screen, character development, ensemble work, audition preparation, and a variety of dance styles to support their performance versatility. This qualification contributes towards a student’s QCE points, allowing them to refine their craft and pursue their passion for musical theatre while completing their high school studies.

CUA40520 Certificate IV in Musical Theatre This qualification reflects the technique and skills required for a variety of performance contexts. Students are equipped with a diverse range of specialised technical, creative, and conceptual skills, essential for excelling in their chosen styles. At this level, students are expected to apply initiative and judgement in their individual practice.

  • $4,000.00 AUD per annum, plus additional extras;
  • $195 AUD once-off enrolment fee;
  • $1,000 AUD non-refundable deposit due upon enrolment (this amount is deducted from total course fees).
The prospective student’s application being fully completed; residency status (Australian or New Zealand citizens, or overseas residents with the ability to obtain a visa); English language proficiency; A successful audition for one of our accredited courses, whether online or face-to-face; submission of required documents, including the student’s USI; qualification/course eligibility and prerequisites being met; fees paid as per our policy; signed consent to our terms and conditions.
Participate in either an in-person audition (through our in-house Experience Days or global tour) or submit an online application (via video submission), demonstrating strong dance ability in at least two (2) styles. Participate in an online or in-person interview with our staff, and finally, perform two (2) contrasting solo songs in the style of Musical Theatre.
