Frequently Asked Questions

If at any stage you/your child wishes to cease enrollment, you will be required to submit written notice to enquiries@dsa.com.au prior to a new term commencing.  NO cancellations or change of class can be made at administration.  The Cancellation or Change of a class can only take place during terms one and two, without written notice payments for a full term of fees will be charged. If classes are booked and the new term has commenced and you have not given notice, a full term of fees will be due and payable.

Please keep this in mind when enrolling your child. Once they are enrolled in a particular class they will be enrolled for a minimum of a full term.

SPECIAL NOTE: No changes or cancellations may be made to you/your child’s classes within the third (3rd) term. Classes that are set at the commencement of the third (3rd) term will remain in place for the third (3rd) and the fourth (4th) term. Fees for classes that are booked in the third (3rd) term will continue to be deducted for the remainder of the year, regardless of the classes and production routine/s you/your child decides to participate in, as preparation for the end of year production will have already commenced. Should you / your child/ren decide not to patriciate in the end of year production there will be no refund offered on production costumes.

If your child wishes to sit their RAD classical ballet exams they MUST enroll into two ballet classes per week. This is for grades 1 and above.

Children wishing to sit the Trinity College London Musical Theatre & Vocal Examinations will discuss the requirements with their vocal trainers in their private lessons.

Any student wishing to sit examinations will need to email admin@dsa.com.au.

Please note: There are extra costs involved in sitting examinations, as well as extra rehearsals and set attire that may cost extra.

All enrolled students are automatically assumed to be participating in the end of year production. If you do not wish to have your child participate in the end of year production, written notification must be sent to enquiries@dsa.com.au by no later than the final week of term two, if not already discussed in your initial enrollment appointment. Term dates can be located on the DSA online calendar.

Each year DSA brings well known choreographers to the studio to hold open workshops. Information on these workshops can always be found on the Intensive Workshops page on our website, in the DSA fortnightly newsletter, on social media sites and of course the online calendar. We encourage all students of all levels and invite non-members to also attend these workshops.

All information regarding what is happening around the studio can be found on our website under the member login page, under contact us > resources . For details on how to login please see administration. Once you have entered the DSA contact us page you will need to access the yearly calendar. The DSA yearly calendar is updated daily with events and important dates to remember for the entire year.

Social Media is another great way to keep up to date with the latest news. Like us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for regular updates. For all enrolled families please add yourself to our Facebook group Admin Dynamite Studios. Last but certainly no least register for the DSA newsletter, D-NEWS. Our fortnightly newsletter is the best way to stay in loop on everything that is happening around the studio. Registration can be done via the DSA website or during your enrollment appointment

The step to make if your child is going to be absent or miss a class is to contact the appropriate head of department. For students enrolled in Dynamite Studios Australia afternoon classes your best contact is administration, administration can be contacted via email at admin@dsa.com.au or via phone on 1300 363 207 (Ext.4).  

DSA do not hold classes on any major public holidays. All public holidays are deducted from your annual fees prior to enrollment. For full list of scheduled public holidays please visit the DSA online calendar.

If your bank account or credit card details change and need to be updated you will be required to contact our Enquiries and Enrollment department to have this altered. This can be done via email at enquiries@dsa.com.au or via phone on 1300 363 207 (Ext.1)

A standard of behavior, grooming and regular attendance is expected from all students. At DSA we have a personally designed uniform in which we require ALL enrolled students to wear to all classes. All Dynamite Studios Australia uniforms may be purchased in house, via administration.

At DSA we have a specific standard of attire that must be upheld in all classes at all times. Correct dance footwear, as well as the correct DSA uniform and attire must be worn and hair must always be up, off the face and neat and tidy.

 

All DSA uniforms can be purchased in house via administration.

Footwear must be purchased from one of our local dance retailers. We suggest Tinkerbell's Gift and Dance, Oxenford or Dance Desire, Ashmore.
