PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOL
At Dynamite Studios Australia, our Performing Arts School has led the way in arts training and education since opening its doors in 2012. The first of its kind in Australia, we provide a unique opportunity to students who wish to work towards a career in the performing arts and gain relevant qualifications and industry experience whilst completing their educational studies. In 2022, we expanded our offerings to include primary studies for Grades 5 and 6, continuing our legacy of educational innovation.
We believe in the holistic development of our students, ensuring our curriculum is designed to equip them with essential life skills - communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity - alongside their core studies, in order to prepare them for success. We are committed to inspiring a lifelong passion for learning and personal growth. Our approach is centred on a focused learning environment, facilitated by two qualified school supervisors who oversee the students’ distance learning, alongside tutoring and mentorship from our 2020 Performing Arts School Dux.
Each day at Dynamite Studios Australia is different to the next, however, we always ensure students have an even balance between their academics and performing arts training each week. A typical day at Dynamite Studios may look like:
8:45 am Morning Ritual
9:00 am Academics
12:00 pm Lunch
12:30 pm Performing Arts Block 12:00 pm Performing Arts Block 2
3:30 pm Finish
In addition to their Performing Arts School classes, our students continue their training as part of our Performance Team Program in the afternoon.
Students who are accepted into our Performing Arts School must independently enrol with their choice of distance education provider. Upon enrolment, Dynamite Studios Australia will supply details of our recommended provider, Cairns School of Distance Education.
Students are eligible to receive a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and may opt to study towards an ATAR in Years 11 and 12. Study requirements and subject selection will be individually discussed with the student and parent upon enrolment.
Dynamite Studios Australia employs a team of two qualified school teachers, who both hold current degrees in Education and provide expert guidance and supervision to our students engaged in Distance Education. To further enhance our academic offerings, we schedule weekly sessions with a specialised tutor, ensuring our students receive the personalised education they need to succeed.
A number of our Dynamite Studios Australia families take in interstate or relocating students as part of our ‘Adopt a Dancer’ program. To find out more about this program, please email hello@dsa.com.au.
Pricing for this program varies per household.
